Structured Family Caregiving (SFC) Program
The SFC Program allows family members to serve as paid caregivers for their loved ones. By providing consistent care in a familiar environment, this program helps maintain dignity and independence.




Program Eligibility
For Care Recipients
- Must reside in Georgia.
- Be a Medicaid recipient under the Elderly and Disabled Waiver Program (EDWP).
- Require assistance with at least two ADLs (e.g., bathing, dressing, mobility).
- Must live with the caregiver.
For Caregivers
- Must be a family member (excluding spouses) or trusted individual.
- Reside in the same household as the care recipient.
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Complete required state training.
- Pass background checks.
