Structured Family Caregiving (SFC) Program

The SFC Program allows family members to serve as paid caregivers for their loved ones. By providing consistent care in a familiar environment, this program helps maintain dignity and independence.

Program Eligibility

For Care Recipients

Must reside in Georgia.
Be a Medicaid recipient under the Elderly and Disabled Waiver Program (EDWP).
Require assistance with at least two ADLs (e.g., bathing, dressing, mobility).
Must live with the caregiver.

For Caregivers

Must be a family member (excluding spouses) or trusted individual.
Reside in the same household as the care recipient.
Be at least 18 years old.
Complete required state training.
Pass background checks.
